Sunshine Coast Hotel Accommodations

Welcome to our Powell River Hotel, the Old Courthouse Inn and all it's treasures.

Let me tell you the story of the Inn since we first saw it! Like all good stories, it begins: "Once upon a time..." a young man, Ian, and a young woman, Lila, (me) visited Powell River, BC on the sunshine coast, and fell in love with this undiscovered jewel of a small town.

Ian moved here in late 1996, and immediately fell in love again, this time with this beautiful heritage building. We bought it in Feb. 1997. Enchanted by it's charm and character, we began to renovate and restore it, room by room. We have never done so much painting in our lives!

In May 1999 Ian and I were married on one of Powell River's lovely West Coast Beaches, and of course our reception was here at the Old Courthouse Inn. The Sunshine Coast hotel was filled with family and friends and the sound of children laughing. What fun we had!
